Dinner Time

October 26, 2011

It doesn’t matter what he is served.  Dad will never criticize the meal. He complements every dish and finishes every bite.  He will only rarely accept seconds.

How different his reactions are in a restaurant. A dish may be labeled as to bland, too spicy, or even boring.  There is no necessity to clear his plate.  We learn a lot about Dad’s tastes at a restaurant.  He readily admits that he hates bananas even though he has been served them frequently at home and said they were great.

It’s really nice to cook for someone who likes everything  I serve but sometimes, I wish he would tell me what he likes best.  Luckily, there is always ice cream!

Fruity pebbly genius - ice cream cones.
