This is My House

Light Switch

The good news is that Dad thinks the assisted living home is his house.  That must mean that it has become familiar and that he is comfortable there.  What a relief!

The bad news is that every night he secures the house for the night.  He makes sure that all the doors are locked and tries to turn off all of the lights.  Some lights in the house just don’t ever turn off which can be rather frustrating as he searches for every light switch.   He frequently goes into other residents rooms and either tells them it is time for them to go home or insists that they need to turn off their lights and TVs.

I’m so glad he feels at home!  Now if we can convince him to let the staff take care of the security and electricity we will all be able to sleep better.
