Why we blog

Having a family member with Alzheimer’s means we spend days frustrated, happy, and excited but we are always learning new solutions. As our family learned tricks of the trade, we constantly found ourselves wondering why no one had told us the tricks sooner.

So, here we are!  The tricks frequently seemed obvious once we caught on.  But we thought it was about time someone tried to save us all a few nights sleep!

Please help us to create a place where other caregivers can learn and share together.  Feel free to write in with thoughts on what you have learned or how our tricks have worked for you!

You will be hearing from a variety of caregivers.  Primary care is provided by a daughter and granddaughter.  You will also hear from a son-in-law who shares his home with Gramps and another granddaughter who provides care when she is in town.

I have missed your blogs of late. I know the holidays and other important things come first, but I wanted to stop in and say I hope you all are well. I have appreciated your positive, loving approach to caregiving.

Please leave your thoughts or ideas!
