Books He Can Enjoy

Dad has always been a voracious reader.    He has a large library with all the books he could find about his favorite topics.  For a number of years he worked his way in order through the Presidents and immediately bought a copy of any book that came out about Lincoln.

The day came when, although he always had a book close at his side,  he did very little reading.  I realized that his attention span was too short for the scholarly books he had always read.  I began scouring stores for books that he would still enjoy.  Books with pictures were a hit and those for young adults provided interesting articles on favorite topics.

Although I hated to see Dad lose one of his favorite pastimes, it took only a little creativity to find books that keep him engaged.
