We should have known

Memory care means memory care.  It might have seemed simple to take care of my grandfather but it takes a lot of skill to jump into another person’s reality every day.  It takes planning to avoid conflict.  It takes a lot of love.  How could I have thought that any old facility would know what to do?  He is a special person.  He needed a special kind of care.
